Creative jewellery workshops

Would you like to learn how to make silver jewellery? If the answer is yes, then the good news is that I run creative jewellery making workshops in my studio at Sharpe's Pottery Museum in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire. You do not need to have any prior jewellery making experience to come along, as my courses are aimed at complete beginners through to improvers. Anyone is welcome to take part so long as they are aged over 18 (or over 14 if accompanied by an adult).

"Thank you so much for a thoroughly interesting and thrilling day! I learned so much under your guidance – you’re a brilliant teacher. I absolutely love my acorn inspired ring and how it made its organic journey to the finished product! I shall be back!!!"

Costs

My creative jewellery workshops start from £75 for a half day workshop and from £100 for a full day. Materials are included, please see individual workshop for details.

Private creative jewellery workshops

I also run tailor-made private creative jewellery workshop days, for one or two people. These private workshops can be arranged on a date to suit you. Private creative jewellery workshops start from £120 for a half day workshop and £200 for a full day.

For my private jewellery workshops I have hosted family members (such as mother and daughter) celebrating a special birthday and couples wanting to do something different for a wedding anniversary. I have also helped individuals to create bespoke jewellery pieces from their own designs and ideas, and these projects have been very diverse. To name just a few; a silver kilt pin, recycling silver picture frames into jewellery, setting a crystal from a beloved aunties necklace into a new gold ring, and creating a bespoke nature-inspired 18 carat rose gold diamond engagement ring.

If you think you might be interested in finding out more about booking a private workshop, please complete the contact form below.

Testimonials

Here are some lovely kind words from a few of my workshop attendees. You can see more in creative jewellery workshop stories.

"Dear Louise, Thank you for a wonderful day. I have enjoyed making jewellery for the first time and so proud of what I have achieved with your help."

Diana (Derbyshire)

"Louise, you have a lovely style of teaching. Felt like I learnt a lot in a few hours and had great fun! Thank you. So pleased with my little bird pendant. Can’t wait to show him off at school. So interesting to try sawing, hammering, playing with textures (and polishing my wedding ring back to a matt finish). My pendant will remind me of the beautiful setting here too."

Ellie (London)

"Under Louise’s excellent instruction I formulated, planned and created a wonderful personalised bracelet. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and help that was needed was given kindly and professionally. Thank you so much!"

Robin (Middlesex)

"I keep coming back, it’s the most enjoyable and relaxing activity and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you, Louise (& always meet lovely new friends as well)."
