Making your own wedding rings is a wonderful symbol of love and offers the chance to spend a memorable day as a couple creating your wedding bands which you will wear forever. Join me in my studio within the historic surroundings of Sharpe's Pottery Museum in South Derbyshire for friendly, step-by-step personalised guidance through the process of designing and making the wedding rings of your dreams.
Two beautiful wedding rings made mainly from white gold with a polished and a hammered finish. The rose gold accents help to unify the two designs and join them together.

I'm delighted that my wedding ring workshops have been recognised for two years running, gaining 'Jeweller of the Year' at the English Wedding Awards in both 2018 and 2019. Thank you!
Your ring making workshop includes:
Personalised guidance through the whole wedding ring making process, showing you techniques to help you to make your rings unique and special such as texturing with hammers or adding personal messages with letter punches.
A selection of photographs capturing the process as you create your wedding rings together (emailed to you afterwards).
If you are interested in finding out more about making your own wedding rings, I offer a free, no obligation consultation at my studio (up to 1 hour) for you to discuss your ideas prior to booking your wedding ring making course. Alternatively, we can arrange a Zoom, telephone or email consultation.
Browse through some of the stories from previous wedding ring workshops to get a feel for what's possible and get inspired by seeing the rings that other couples have made.
Because my wedding ring workshops are a private day just for the two of you, they are priced per couple. You'll have my undivided attention for the whole day. Workshop timings are flexible but a typical day runs from 10am – 3pm with a break for lunch.
|Weekday (Monday to Friday) workshops||

Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday workshops

The materials cost for the silver and/or gold to make your wedding rings will vary depending on your ideas. Advice on metals will be given at your consultation and quotes provided to help you to make your choices. You can make your rings in silver and/or gold (including white gold, yellow gold and rose gold). Silver rings start from £10 per ring, and gold starts from £80.
For an additional £70, you can also make your wedding rings from sentimental gold, for example by melting down a ring which has been passed down through your family. Find out more about using sentimental gold.
Hallmarking is optional and starts from £50. You'll also need a little time in hand, as it's not an instant process; your rings will need to be sent to the assay office.
Please read my Coronavirus risk assessment summary for workshops. It covers all the measures that I have in place for cancellations, cleaning, ventilation etc.

"Thank you Louise, we had an amazing day crafting away in your studio. It was lots of fun learning new techniques to create our unique homemade wedding rings. Really looking forward to wearing them on our DIY woodland wedding day and for many years to come. Thanks for suggesting different options for textures and designs, as I’ve ended up with a better design than I initially had in mind. We’ve had a great day. Thanks again."
