Saturday 25th April 2026, 10am - 4pm
On Saturday 25th April, Swadlincote will be alive with creativity. Join us for a fun packed day, all free of charge. From exhibitions to workshops, local history to meeting artists working locally. There is an incredible programme of events - pick up a free copy of the programme newspaper from local venues such as Sharpe's Pottery Museum.
Last year, I visited Derbyshire Makes with my two children and loved this event so much as a visitor - we made all sorts of things from book hedgehogs to cord keyrings and letterpress prints.
This year, I'm involved on the creative side, which I am thrilled about. I'll be in Sharpe's Pottery Museum Shop (right next to my studio door) doing live demonstrations of silversmithing techniques all day and if you are nearby you'll be welcome to either watch, or maybe even pick up a hammer and join in.

And I'll be there to answer questions about my practice, the courses I run and how I can help you to either learn this wonderful craft, or how you might go about commissioning a bespoke piece to be made.
I'll also be running a competition, to win a signed copy of my book, 'Making Silver Jewellery,' to enter, all you need to do is to sign up to my email list when you visit me on Saturday 25th April.
Make a day of it, everyone is welcome. A free day out, getting immersed in our local heritage and culture...come and get inspired!
