Making your own wedding rings is a wonderful symbol of love and offers the chance to spend a memorable day as a couple creating your wedding bands which you will wear forever.

Join me in my cosy studio located within Sharpe’s Pottery Museum in Swadlincote, Derbyshire — around a 45-minute drive from the Peak District — to make your unique, personalised wedding rings. You’ll receive friendly, step-by-step personalised guidance through the process of designing and making the wedding rings of your dreams.

I have been running these Wedding Ring Making Workshop experiences since 2015, and in that time I have hosted over 250 couples to make their wedding rings. No prior experience required — nearly all of the couples I have guided through this journey have never made jewellery before. You can read about some of these on my blog and also hear what they had to say about their experiences in my Google Reviews.

How it works:

The process usually starts with a free, no obligation consultation, either at the studio or via Zoom. If you can make it to the studio, I do recommend this, as trying on the samples in person proves worthwhile. After this, I’ll provide you with a quote by email and if you decide you would like to go ahead, you can then book a date for your workshop. Workshops need to be paid for around 3 weeks before the workshop date so I can order in your metal for your wedding rings.

Workshops are available Tuesday – Saturday. Free consultations are available on evenings & weekends.

On the day, there’s plenty of time to enjoy the process, along with a relaxed lunch included at the onsite cafe as part of the experience. I’ll also capture a selection of natural photographs throughout the day, so you can share and treasure the memories of making your wedding rings together.

Materials available:

Materials are not included in the workshop price. The choice of metals is silver, gold and platinum. Gold is available in white gold, yellow gold or rose gold, and is available in 9 carat and 18 carat. 14 carat yellow gold is also available. All silver and gold will be recycled.

Sentimental Gold or Silver

If you would like to use some sentimental or heirloom jewellery to make your wedding rings, please see my Make Your Own Wedding Rings from Sentimental Metal Workshop.

You can have your rings hallmarked, engraved or add gemstones, such as diamonds. These processes will be done after the workshop.

  • Private 5 hour wedding ring making workshop for the two of you
  • Free pre-workshop design consultation either at the studio or via Zoom, which will be followed with a bespoke quote for your wedding ring designs sent via email
