These drop earrings combine deep blue lapis lazuli with individually flared silver tube sections, creating these lovely delicate earrings. I flare each silver section with a doming punch, so they are ever so slightly different, much like the sections of a bamboo cane, which was the inspiration behind this design.
Lapis lazuli is a deep celestial blue metamorphic rock, often flecked with specks of gold, which is why it is often compared to the night sky. It is thought to hold the spiritual meanings of courage, wisdom and truth. Lapis lazuli is also the birthstone for September.
