Coronavirus risk assessment summary for wedding ring and creative jewellery workshops

Workshop attendance

Please do not come to the workshop if you think you or any member of your household is displaying any symptoms of Covid-19. I will reciprocate, so if I or members of my household display any symptoms I will cancel the workshop or consultation and we can rearrange it for a mutually convenient date.

Cancellation procedure

Wedding ring workshops

Please contact me as soon as you can if you decide you need to cancel your workshop or consultation. Whilst the Covid-19 situation is present, I will be offering the option to re-schedule your workshop without any penalty charges, even if this is at very late notice. But do please note that where gold has been ordered ready for the workshop, this is non-returnable as it is ordered in cut to size for you to use. If due to having to cancel the workshop it does not allow us enough time to re-schedule a workshop before your wedding day, I will offer to use your gold to make your wedding rings to your design for you so you have them in time for your wedding day. Alternatively I could make 'sample' rings (e.g. in silver) and we can reschedule your wedding ring workshop for a later date. In any event, I will be happy to work with you to find a solution to fit your own individual circumstances, as I appreciate it is very difficult to plan during these uncertain times.

Creative jewellery workshops

Cleaning

I have purchased Anti-Viral cleaning sprays and will thoroughly clean contact surfaces (such as door handles) and tools before and after the workshop or consultation.

Hand washing

There is a sink in the studio so I will ask all visitors to wash their hands upon arrival. I will provide hand sanitizer to be used throughout the workshop.

Social distancing

I will endeavour to keep to the guided 2m social distancing rule as much as possible during the workshop. Please be aware that because some of the work is very precise this may have to be reduced at certain crucial parts of the jewellery making process.
